The National Industrial Court has issued a restraining order against the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) stopping it from proceeding with the trial of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen.

In Proverbs 15:5-9 Solomon warns that how we take instruction for our parents says much about us. Proverbs is written as advice from a father to his children. A fool would despise the wisdom that comes from a godly parent and God’s word. “A fool despises his father’s instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is prudent”. Garrett wrote that “One’s attitude toward parental teaching will determine one’s lifelong attitude toward authority and instruction.” Listening to our parents is important. Learning wisdom is more than learning facts; it is to receive correction. If what we learn only confirms what we already know, it probably isn’t wisdom we are learning.
