North Korea launches ballistic missile ahead of G-20 summit

I have been wondering if North Korea is actually acting alone in it’s provocative and daring missile tests. Some key countries like China, Russia, etc have been silent and nonchalant about it and I thought it speaks volumes.

SEOUL (REUTERS) – North Korea launched an intermediate range ballistic missile from its western region into the sea off its east coast on Tuesday (July 4), the US and South Korean militaries said, ahead of a summit of leaders from the Group of 20 (G-20) countries in Germany later this week.

The missile was launched around 0040 GMT (8:40am Singapore time) from an airfield in Panghyon, about 100 km north-west of Pyongyang, and flew about 930km, South Korea’s joint chiefs of staff said, adding the altitude reached by the projectile was still being analysed.  

The missile flew for about 40 minutes and may have landed in Japan’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), the Japanese government said, adding that it had strongly protested what was a clear violation of UN resolutions.
