Hosea 7 points out one of the issues we have as people – a short memory.  God doesn’t suffer from that at all.  In fact, sin is never forgotten.  “They do not consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their deeds are all around them; They are before My face”. The problem among the people and leaders of Israel was they forgot – willfully – that the Lord saw and remembered their sin. We often deliberately forget that the Lord sees and remembers when we sin too. It may be secret before men, but not before God.

We tend to want to believe that God will somehow just overlook our sin.  But He can’t.  His nature doesn’t allow that.  So we need to ask ourselves some difficult questions. Do you think God doesn’t see? Do you think God is blind to your adultery or…
